Youth Digital Filmmakers – If you live in the Chico area, tune into “I-Five Live” (KCHO Chico 91.7 FM) on Mon., Jan. 15 at 8 pm to hear Programs Manager Raeshma Razvi talk about CCH’s Youth Digital Filmmakers program, a new grant line for projects that engage California youth in creating short films about how they see California.

The Council is also holding eight workshops in Jan. and Feb. to inform interested filmmakers about the new program. Workshops are scheduled for Redding (Jan. 16), Merced (Jan. 25), Modesto (Jan. 26), Sacramento (Feb. 2), San Jose (Feb. 7), San Diego (Feb. 13), Riverside (Feb. 14) and Los Angeles (Feb. 15). The exact times and locations will be posted on our website as they become available.

The.Youth Digital Filmmakers guidelines are now available. An application will be posted on March 1, 2007. The submission deadline is April 2, 2007. The new grant program is connected to the Council’s new youth-based campaign, “California Stories: How I See It.”

California Story Fund — An online application for the California Story Fund. Is now available. All applications must be submitted electronically by Feb. 1, 2007.
