The California Documentary Project film “Inventing Los Angeles: The Chandlers and Their Times,” about the history of the Los Angeles Times, recently premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and will air on PBS this fall. The guidelines for April 1, 2009, round of funding for the California Story Fund are now available. An online application for the grant program will be available on the Council website on March 2, 2009. All applications must be submitted electronically by April 1, 2009. The goal of the grant program is to encourage Californians from many communities to share their stories, thus promoting greater understanding and appreciation of the richness and complexity of our state.
