They’re ranchers, ex-hippies, environmentalists, educators, artists and just plain folks, and in one way or another they’ve been part of the history of The Dance Palace Community Center in Point Reyes Station. Now you can hear their stories, collected as part of a California Story Fund project, at The Dance Palace’s 35th anniversary event this coming Saturday evening.

For the past 15 years, Marin County artist Evvy Eisen has been photographing Holocaust survivors living in California and collecting their stories. Now Eisen, with the help of a California Story Fund grant, has turned that work into a moving film, “Multiply by Six Million,” combining her black and white portraits with the voices of survivors recounting their wartime experiences. You can see the film and meet Eisen at several events in the San Francisco Bay Area in the coming weeks. More.
